Thank you for supporting young leaders like me

This #GivingTuesday, we raised over $8,500 from more than 110 supporters! Thank you for helping us spread participatory budgeting further than ever!

Your support means so much to me as the community builder within the Participatory Budgeting Project. I joined the PBP team this spring after organizing with various student groups in Queens College, City University of New York (CUNY). Most recently, I focused on spreading PB throughout the CUNY system, an effort that a group of friends and I began nearly three years ago.

 

Upon graduating, I passed on the torch to the next group of emerging leaders, but I still wanted to help in any capacity that I could, and my role at PBP has made that possible.

As the Development & Program Associate, I get to do everything I love – from on-the-ground organizing, to writing and planning, and most importantly, building relationships with folks who believe in the transformative power of PB. That’s YOU. Having all of you show your support as changemakers gives me hope for the future of our democracy.
