PB2 Results are in!
Every year PBP donors join together and do a PB process of our own – deciding together on how to spend a portion of the PBP budget for the year. It’s a PB process for PBP, PB2!
Every year, PBP supporters from across the country vote online and in person by becoming donors on a PB process of our own. Donors propose projects and decide together how to spend a portion of the PBP budget. The project proposals this year were amazing, but ultimately the four projects below were the winners.
Support for Youth Board Members earned 65 votes. As PBP increasingly focuses on PB in schools, we want to add and retain more young people on our Board and Advisory Board. PBP will allocate $5,000 to this initiative.
A previous PB2 project video about PB in highschools (which you can check out here) was so popular that PB for Every Grade: Video about PB in Middle and Elementary Schools garnered 51 votes! We’ll dig into the power of PB to cultivate real leaders at every age by undertaking this $10,000 project!
Equity is a core value for us here at PBP, and it shows! Supporters voted for not one, but two equity centered projects in PB2. The first is intended to help PBP facilitate more equitable PB processes by providing guidelines and examples for how to successfully center equity at every step of the PB process. Resources for Equitable PB Processes scooped up 50 votes and we will devote $5,000 to bringing it to life.
And our commitment to equity doesn’t stop there – Walk the Equity Talk: Leadership Development at PBP got 45 votes. This project will provide $10,000 to fund outside consultants, such as trainers, coaches, and evaluators, to help PBP better recruit, develop, and retain a diverse team, and cultivate leadership pathways at all levels of the organization.
Keep an eye out for updates and ways you can participate as we move forward! In the meantime, check out this past PB2 winner, a video on PB for Elected Officials.
