Make a plan to vote (and volunteer) in PBNYC!

At a time when so many of our rights and our neighbors are under attack, I’m writing to ask you to join me in building political power for immigrants, young people, and all of us. At the end of March, NY City Council will invite residents age 14+ (regardless of citizenship or immigration status) to directly decide how to spend $40,000,000, through Participatory Budgeting in New York City.

We need your help to make this a more inclusive and empowering process:

1. Make plans to vote! Voting will take place March 25 – April 2. Add it to your calendar and sign up here to learn about vote sites near you.

2. Sign up to volunteer! We need volunteers for polling stations, especially in priority locations with large immigrant and low-income populations. Sign up for a poll worker training below (I’m helping at the kids table on the 18th).

3. Invite your friends to join us!  For PB to work, we need more people to know about it. Please forward this email to 5 friends in or around NYC who think that government should work better.

This is a chance to directly make government more inclusive and democratic – can you help out?

Thank you in advance!
