PBNYC Vote Week Kick-off

Twitter_2015 April 18 #8

You’re invited to vote for a PBNYC project in your City Council district from March 26th-April 3rd!

With 28 districts participating in the process, NYC has the largest city-wide PB process in North America. Last year, more than 51,000 New Yorkers voted in the 2014-2015 PBNYC cycle. This year’s PB citywide budget has reached over $30 million and with the voting age lowered to 14 years and older, you and your family, friends and neighbors can vote to better your city.

Taking Action is now more accessible than ever with more digital voting options at polling sites. You can easily vote on how to spend your tax dollars on the go. PB only works when you participate!

Help Get Out The Vote! Whether or not you live in a participating district, you can make a difference by signing up as a volunteer at any participating district! Learn how grassroots democracy works behind the scenes and find out which volunteer role fits you by filling out the Volunteer Application Form. PBNYC is seeking outreach volunteers, poll site workers, data entry assistants, interpreters and translators to help inform community members of the projects in their neighborhood! Volunteer opportunities are open to people of all ages.

We will also be hosting a PBNYC Volunteer Vote Week Kick-off, providing essential training for volunteers on March 19th from 10am-12pm.
